So about that review yesterday…
I’ve always been a beauty junkie. Despite how nerdy I look in this photo:
Ever since I was allowed to wear make-up (my dad was so against it), I’ve loved experimenting with it. My interests, in the past few years, have turned more toward skin care but I still love trying new products. I used to do an Adore+Ignore post on this blog featuring all the things I’ve come across and loved and things I were warning you weren’t worth trying. I noticed, that your guys’ response to those posts were positive and it seemed you were most interested in what I had to say in regards to the new beauty products I had tried. So that got me thinking maybe it would be kind of cool to combine my love of trying new products and your interest in hearing what I have to say about them.
After mulling it over for a few weeks, I decided I’m going to do a beauty review post every once in a while on this here blog. Now, I’m no beauty expert and I know that. But I am a middle class American with similar concerns as most women out there. I’m hoping to prevent wrinkles or sunspots in the future. I can’t afford crazy, high-end stuff. I want to look my best as I get older and feel confident in my skin care and beauty regimen. If that sounds anything like you, then I hope you’ll like my reviews in the future. If you’re Kim Kardashian and/or have a high maintenance budget similar to hers, then you probably will think my reviews are pathetic. Either way, I think it will be fun and that’s the whole point with make-up right? You all will have to bear with me on this because it’s been a mere thought as of right now. I don’t know what I’m going to call it, if anything at all, or how long I’ll keep at it.
I created a ‘beauty’ tab in my navigation bar up there that features my favorite products from most beauty or skin care categories. If you look at that page, you’ll see that I have a lot of beauty exploring to do. I’m excited to get started and hope you’ll follow along with me on my beauty journey!
